Default Viewing Historical Images with Google Earth

Posted this elsewhere. Thought you guys may be interested. Instructions on how to view historical aerials on google earth.

Thanks for the instructions. Very cool feature! Still waiting for them to update the Empire area. The last update they did was before Katrina.

His post was about historical photos not updated photos.
And if you are waiting for updated photos of the empire area you will be waiting for a long time.

I know what he was saying, I just thought I'd interject a little whining about my favorite area not being updated. It will be cool if I can get a sat pic from when my camp was still there, but that was back in '97. I can't even install google Earth on this school computer. It's a dinosaur. It's 11 years old and still running Windows 98.

Terrible to see Joshua's like that. I'll never forget what it was like going down there in November following the storm. I've seen my dad cry 4 times in my life. The death of a pet, the loss of our camp in Danny, 1997, at the St. Laurent Cemetery on Omaha Beach, and seeing Empire after Katrina. It's the blessings that we get from these places that make their losses seem so unbearable.

We get some pretty good satellite imagry from atlas lsu.edu

they havent updated my area from rita..sorry..but i still had a blue roof in the pic on google! lol..thanks for the historical thing
