I followed the instructions pretty close. Probably about 8 hours instead of 10. The dealer also instructed me to follow break-in.

LAM told me to follow the break in procedure and I did to an extent. I did the idle, the half throttle for an hour and then probably gave it another 3 hours of full speed for a minute then half throttle for 10 mins. After that I was kinda tired of that so i just ran wide open like normal everywhere. I think a 10 hour break in is way over kill. I tried to follow it just for warranty sake but I doubt they will not warranty the motor because I didn't break it in a full 10 hours. I would say ask the dealer if they will warranty it without the break in, if they say yes then baby it for a little bit then go

Also, I don't remember if you're getting tiller or not. If so, you'll most likely not like the trim switch location. You can splice in and put a remote switch.

Yeah its a tiller, my omc only had trim on the side of the motor, which made it useless while running, so i spliced a switch to the gunnel where my hand already sits while running. Its still there so im gonna do the same with this motor.
