Good site, thanks for sharing it, I bookmarked it.
I also like to check:
http://www.tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov...type=Composite
It gives the current winds in Cameron which are usually much different than the winds in Lake Charles. There have been many times when the winds in LC were light but when I got to the lake they were blowing like they were in Cameron. I like the Cameron site for tides too. They give the predicted versus the actual. Right now the actual is about 2 feet higher than predicted. Wow.

Those are some good sites guys! Here's one i use alot. http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/wfo/sectors/lch.php
Their graphical forecast is usually pretty accurate. I use this alot when trying to decide if I'm going to drag the kayak all the way down to the beach or not.

www.katc.com 's weather page has a wind forecast map that is as accurate as I have seen. It is way down at the bottom of the weather page. For most of the other sites, I have found that you have to add the predicted wind speeds together to get the true speed. For example, if the winds are predicted to be 5-10, you can almost guarantee that its going to blow at 15.
