I went from 13p aluminum to 14p stainless same diameter....it should still run that 12p without blowing out...do you have a tach on it

No tach, and just had a jack plate installed. A friend said my jack plate is prolly too high but it was doing it before the jack plate

You should be able to run a 14 easy. I'm not too fond of powertech props though.

When I was in the market for a prop for my 90 Optimax, the guy at Power Tech told me I needed a 13p because of my boat having a tunnel. I ended up with a 19p with heavy cup and it still wasn't enough. I would bet you could add some pitch or add some cup if it is a tunnel hull and solve your problem.

drop it down an inch and see if it helps...mine is on a 15' alumaweld with a jackplate and i also have a 15p i run with no problem

Drop 1/4" at a time until the cavitation stops. All you guys running 14's, how many rpm's you turning those 14's?

Clafleur, I would recommend a 13', we have put quite a few of those on this set up and it is running very good.

You could probably get away with the 14' but I do not think it will have the same balance of hole shot and speed as the 13'.

I have the same boat a CLAFLEUR except its a 16/48. Empty with just me i'm running 39, three people loaded down I'm running 33-34. I have a 13p powertech, do yall think I could maintain more top end with a load if I increased pitch? Kyle set me up good, I love my new rig, just curious.
