Default If you had the opportunity..

To go hunt any big game animal in North America what would it be and where?
The person we are planing this for has never put any thought of going on a hunt like this, so I figured I'd get some other opinions.
He's never killed any exotics that I'm aware of, has killed a fair share of west Texas/Mexico big bucks, along with big Louisiana bucks.

Elk would be great but he has to be in shape. Also, if he does not have preference points built up the chance of getting into a good area is pretty slim. I believe NM does not have a PP system though so that might be your best shot if he wants elk.

Tim, the original post said "Big Game" anywhere in North America

If I were you I wouldn't limit myself to U.L.L. when you can choose anywhere in the country...

Secondly, I would also keep my hunting to small game... those big ones have tougher meat and a lot more fat.

I would love to go back to Colorado on another Elk Hunt... Once was definitely not enough for this type of hunting... And you don't need to be in "Terrific" shape to hunt some of these areas in Colorado... it doesn't hurt but if you make this hunt happen for the guy I'm sure he would be proactive as far as that goes.
