Default Boater injured in Calcasieu Lake

CAMERON PARISH, LA (KPLC) - The Region 5 Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is investigating a boating accident that happened Wednesday afternoon in Cameron, authorities said.

Lt. Beau Robertson said the accident happened around 1 p.m. in the south end of Calcasieu Lake. One person was ejected from the boat and sustained "serious bodily injuries." The victim, whose name has not been released, has been transported to a Lake Charles hospital.

Wildlife and Fisheries is investigating the accident.

Seems like a lot of voting accidents are happening lately. I hope the person injured recovers.

He was in a flats boat and coming back in to Hebert's
They were talking to each other and when looked up they were about to hit one of the bouys on Brad Vincent reef so guy swerved hard and threw other guy out boat and prob hit his leg . He was chopped good on the leg from what we could see
.
Not sure how bad it really was because medics covered him up when they pulled up to Hebert's
