Default west cove report/advice

Launched my kayak out of hog island yesterday paddled into west cove, ended up with 2 reds, and 6 croakers, fished dead shrimp under a cork and mojo shrimp under a cork, also tried live pogy and cracked crab. Falling tide, very little wind, but the water was a little muddy, seems like i had good conditions, any advice?

Try launching further south at WC launch. Fish the marsh for reds and flounder or paddle out to the reefs that are left and try for trout.

That's a pretty good paddle from Hog I to West Cove.
Last time we fished H. I. the Bay Boats almost washed us up on the bank.
They didn't slow down for little kayaks.
Pretty good flounder hole in the left turn and the cut into West Cove.
Hard heads wouldn't give other fish much of a chance.
They even came up to a popping cork.
We fished plastics, dead shrimp and live mullets, live shrimp were scarce.
Pogies were small.
