Default Vermilion Bay?

Is cypremort point public launch the best place to launch for Vermilion Bay?

Depends on where you going to fish. There's really only 3 choices. Cypremort Point, if fishing the cove, hammock, weeks bay, trashpile, marsh island, etc., the public launch in Intracoastal City, if fishing lake Fearman, redfish point, or heading to the pass, or the little launch just past Lydia on the right which is close to Weeks Bay.

Depends on whether you want a short car(truck) ride or short boat ride. Intacoastal City, Port of Iberia, Don's or Delcambre are other choices.

Best depends on who you ask...the launch is eazy access to Vermilion Bay. However, there are a few launches that you can gain access to Vermilion/Weeks Bay..

Woke up and watched the weather did not look like a good day for a boat ride. Hook and Line has a awesome map of the Big Lake area been unable to find a good one of VB. Any recommendations?

Dago's has some good ones. Also fish are moving in the cove a bit, next couple of weeks it'll be on fire.

If you're from Broussard, try the Country Store at Morgan and 182. Larry has them right at the door when you walk in.

Hook and Line has a map of VBay as well. It's a really good map.

If your looking for a couple of launch sites , There is Avery Island , 10 mins to Weeks bay , Delcambre about 15 mins to Weeks bay . Patout Canal 5 mins to weeks bay , The Point . There is one down by Henry below Erath that comes out in the Boston Canal on the west side of the bay and Intercostal City

Is it just my truck. The wife and I went last saturday and launched at the Point. The ride on 90 from Broussard to New Iberia spilled coffee all over the console. We were bearly able to talk with all the bouncing we were doing.

There are sections that are worse than others. Ride the left lane. It's alot smoother.
