Default Rod n Reel in the River

Anyone been to the river for some rod-n-reeling?
I'm thinking about going to Butte La Rose for some Gou and catfish.
I have some small crawfish that I'll probably use.
Any reports?

Heard they were catching at the Hydro in Simmesport. May go there Sunday morning or camp at Butte La Rose and set lines Friday afternoon.
