rumor has it that iberia parish is gonna plant 500+ cypress trees in spanish lake soon. not sure if that is true. but, i just recently moved to new iberia, and launching out of port of iberia is really close and not even a 10 min drive to weeks bay. not to mention all the upper canals off weeks bay and iberia canal are pretty fresh and the bass fishing is pretty good. plus its not uncommon to pull in a red fish or two in the upper canals.

the spanish lake that was drained and put the 2 homos out of buisiness was at alligator bayou in accension parish just below baton rouge.
No where near new iberia???
