Dance fog and hog on lake p

decided to run out to lake p sunday am. the temp was up above 70 and the winds were 0.
last year i pulled some hogs out in similiar conditions and same time of year.
so off we went. launched the boat, pointed the bow toward the lake....FOG!!! COULD SEE THE BOW!!!
so we crept to the brigde and ran down to 8 mile. we were 15-20 ft from the bridge the whole way out and at times could not see the bridge.
caught some decent trout near 8 mile, then ran further to 12 miles. justin slammed a few bigguns but never got em in the boat, i know, every trip has a few that got away!!!!
we ended the day releasing a few smaller trout but we succeded in landing some nice one!!

PB,

Thanks for the post and pics!

Jimmy here (former Gretna guy) who grew up fishing the area...If you don't mind tellin, where did you launch? Lakefront? Just wondering your path of travel as it's been too many years since I enjoyed fishing the area.

Over here (P-cola), I pretty much fish offshore exclusively...just can't get into the inshore thing as it doesn't compare to La fishing...Oh, I still inshore fish but mainly when WX is all screwed up like it has been for several weeks now...

Cheers!

Jimmy
