Default Buying a boat?

Did the state change something on buying a registering a new Boat, like going up on fees?

There have been some changes on registering a new boat. used to be just the trailer and now i think boat and trailer . MO MONEY!!!

YEH its ridiculous between taxes and reg fees i am $5000 in to the state and feds with getting my boat "LEGAL"

Go to Wildlife and Fisheries office in Lake Charles and there is a lady in there that will walk you through everything. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE PAPERWORK ON THE BOAT,TRAILER, and MOTOR!

I just had to do it on a used boat, I think it has somthin to do with what the boat is worth.... I asked but no one could give me a definit answer

yea Im working on closing on my boat now and its all kinda junk. and sucky. sure was nice when only the trailer owed tax.
