Default Best way to catch Flounder

What is the best way to catch flounder. I have caught them while fishing for them with cocahoe type baits hopped along the bottom and have caught them on gold spoons fishing for reds. That being said, is there a really good bait and technique just for flounder?

Gulp swimming mullet in white or chartruese... worked on the bottom near edges... like edge of cuts, ship channel, points on ship channel, or mouths of cuts... moving water and bait fish is a must.

Gulp swim mullet is the ticket....make sure you have plenty you will loose several tails. If you keep em in your ice chest they last a lil longer.

Play with the retrieve. Most times just drag it on the bottom, short slow hops or slow swimming it. One of these usually works.

Swimming mullet is good, shrimp tipped jigs also work. While moving water and bait are a big plus, any good "ambush" spot can be good also.

Default Bucktail jig

I use Spro Bucktail Jigs green or white tipped with shrimp or Gulp live Swimming mullet in white or chart or pink. I drag or bounce if off the bottom in a slow motion keeping my line tight for feel. I also have excellent luck on live finger mullet (when I can get them) rigged on a Texas flounder rig.

Flounder will also hit a small gold spinner bait..... with any of the above baits attached. A yellow grub is also a good bait to use.

Tipping the hook with shrimp will get more bites.
