Default So I've got my new (for me) bay boat...now what?

It's been five years since I've fished for specks/redfish/flounder...Starting a new tackle box...What would you have in your new tackle box?
Lures..Jig heads..hooks..line..I'm gonna have a budget of $300.00..What are your recommendations?
Got reels and rods (thank goodness) so fill up my tackle box with your suggestions and help a new/old guy !
Btw, I'll post pics of my rig in the boating section as soon as I figure out how to get them from an iphone to this forum.
Thanks guys!!!!!
Oh and I do think I can help if you're going to Toledo Bend, we have a camp there and can give pretty good advice on crappie...

Starting out again. Keep it simple a tackle box is like wine It takes time.
One of my favorites and almost always works.
Chartreuse cochahoe double rigs with red heads or sparkle beetle but I find the cochoes work better & popping corks I like the short ones with the stick and no weight so they don’t splash as much when you throw them and spoke fish.
Gotta get good hooks and weights for live bait Doesn’t have to be the most expensive hooks.

Get a few top dogs but don’t invest a lot in that stuff until you feed your need for caching. Then the top water and jig baits will start to invade your tackle box little by little.
If you haven’t fished for awhile I would stay away from the braided lines until my techniques are refined. The last thing you want to do is start out with a bunch of tangled braided lines.
Just my opinon.
Good luck and even on the worst day fishing it will always be better than the best day working.

Ally ou guys covered speck baits, if you going to be up in the Marsh for reds i would definately get a couple Johnson Gold Spoons, a few 1/2 oz. Baby 1- in blue and white, maybe a few spinner's with a black and chartuese cocahoe minnow.

For $300 you can get a lot of stuff for a tackle box.

For jig heads i would get them unapainted and leave them that way.

Cant go wrong with glow anything. Glow/char jerk jrs, sand eel jrs, salty grubs. Hackberry hustlers aint bad. Gulp swimming mullet in chartruese or pearl, shrimp in pearl. 1/8th and 1/4 oz jig heads, I prefer yellowmouth but ask some and they say jighead style dont matter. Purple/char in same baits for certain days. Good luck, go catch some fish!
