Just curious!! Where do fishermen wade in BIG LAKE ? And why? I'm pretty sure I couldn't get back in my boat.( ha ha ). |

east bank.Because the boat causes the "slapping" sound underwater and the big trout have become to understand that this "slap" means people are fishing close by and they stray away from the "Slap". Therefore, when you wade, there is no "slap" and you can lay the smackdown on a big girl. Try putting the big motor down and stepping on the hydrofoil plate above the prop to get back in. Thats what i do when i go swimming.
Good luck. |

Be careful where you wade at. Some of the bottoms in big lake are very soft

This is very good advice. Always be aware of your surroundings and become familiar with the area before you get out of the boat.

I used to carry a wooden closet rod, dowl, and feel the bottom before getting out of the boat
