With the river falling a hard as it has been, it's probably that clear black water in that lake right now. Lots of areas in the basin are like that. But that's just my theory. Gotta go to know i guess.

if you like sitting in your boat and looking at hundreds of other boats, all of them not catching many fish, then grevenberg is the place to go.

btw, water is black just about everywhere.

probly the worst water is in beau bayou area. got to bring your own fish if you want to catch some back there. water stinks.

i been fishing hard all over in the basin for the last 3 weeks, lots of folks not doing well. fish are spotty.
heard most good reports are from henderson and duck lake area.

i'd post up where i been fishing, but there are way too many boats there already for the few fish in there.

on a positive note, it is nice to see not so many people in fausse point lately, it's gonna give the fish a much needed break.

i heard the mouth of the avery was full of reds and they are catching plenty of trout at the trashpile. lol
