Claude Sims from Texas was back onboard the big Bluewave with me today. Perfect forecast had us heading out to the trout grounds at day break! It's always a wonderful thing when you can hit the Gulf and are cruising at a easy 45mph in slick calm seas (You just know it's going to be a good day). At daybreak the trout were smacking shrimp 360 degrees around the boat. Double rigged Matrix Shad in all colors went to work!! Solid trout averaging 16-19 inches were hitting the deck of the Bluewave!! The K2 Cooler also went to work as the yellow mouths took a ice bath one by one! Once the bite slowed down, we made a short move. In no time, the bite just went ballistic!! The trout frenzy started up and all hell broke loose!! We had the fish Coming in 3-6 at a time. I called Capt Rob over and we commenced to put on a trout bashing clinic like no other!! A 4-5 foot shark decided to ruin the party and bust things up. No problem, we stayed patient and the bite was back on. It was retarded as the fish were hitting any color Matrix Shad we threw in the water!! #75 hit the deck around 9:30am, and we left them biting every cast!! Another incredible trip in the books.
