I have been satisfied with my nikons....I don't see the need in a super expensive pair unless you plan on using them for long range glassing out of state. My uncle got some new redfield,that is now leupolds sister company. They are just as good as my nikons and were under 200.

I used a pair of nikons in Texas, they were good ..but if I can find something better for a few bucks more that will last a long time I don't mind paying the money if I'm gonna hang onto them for a while

Best pair I have ever used were Zeiss, but they cost over $2K. I own Steiner Predators and they are excellent. Have had my binoculars for probably 15 years with no issues.

Leo's, steiner and meopta's for just under a grand!
Either will be more than practical in low light, durability, and will glass further than you can shoot. If you decide to spend the big money, then zeis and Swarovski are amazing! I should have said Nikon also, they make good glass for the price.

Pox, I use Zeiss and Dad uses Swarovski. We matched our binos to what scopes we had on our guns. If you can see them in the binos but not with your scope, you will not be happy!! This happened to us several times over the years, so we broke down and bought some nice binos. You will not regret buying some nice glass to look through.
We had Nikon and Leupold before, but the Zeiss and Swarovski bought us another good 15 mins of shooting time and are much easier on the eyes when looking through them for extended periods of time. Josh

What are you using them for? Big difference between the swamps of louisiana and open country of west texas. I have a pair of leupold mojave and they are perfect for me in natchez. Dont look through swarofski unless you plan to buy them. They are as nice as nice can be.

You can get a pair of Zeiss conquest HD's for what your looking to spend. I'd say that's your best bet.

Look at Kahles. They are German optics but not as pricey as Zeiss and Swarovski but comparable in quality. I have a pair of Leupolds and really like them but I know a big baller like C Bus wants the high end stuff!

I tried these out today at cabelas and they were pretty legit , the salesman told me customer service with vortex is awesome and warranty is killer. A guide I hunt with in Texas had a pair , not this model but a cheaper pair and he seemed pretty happy with them?
