Hey "W", what app are you using there?
Also I'm looking to fish the area for the first time from a Kayak. All that north wind is going to blow alot of water out but when it swaps to the South Sunday or Monday shouldn't that push in some salter water? Better fishing?
Tired of catching 15" trout and I see all these pictures you guys post.

Windfinder or Windfinder Pro is the app. I figured everybody had this app by now. It's a great resource for planning ahead. It not off very often.

Here are some resources I use for planning ahead as I am not able to fish the area as often as needed to stay in the know:

Windfinder app,
wunderground app,
NOAA marine forecast website (http://www.nws.noaa.gov/om/marine/zone/gulf/lchmz.htm)
Water data USGS website (http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?site_no=08017044)
Tides4fishing solunar data website (http://www.tides4fishing.com/us/louisiana/bulk-terminal)

Thanks, I've used some of those at work(captain offshore oilfield ).
Seen how fast the tide and currents change in Cameron. Don't want to end up on a mudflat my first-time fishing the area .

Last two fronts didn't really drop water to low due to the amount that was coming down but I expect this one to be a little lower than last two
