Shadman, A possible idea?

For the "Guests".... is there a way to limit their usage of looking at the site to only like 3-5 minutes ? Their getting a "free ride" on here... kinda taking advantage.. dontchya think ? Let us know something... maybe put a timer on their "viewing" of the site... that way maybe they'll sign up after getting a taste of Louisiana's #1 website !!!!

That sounds like a great idea. Either that or limit them to a preview of the post. Let them view the original post and the first 5 responses.

This is a free site and if they feel free to join they can or if they feel free to lurk they can..... We dont push anyone to join

I think most of the guest are members that just aren't logged in. I for one am always jumping on from different computers and usually just read to see whats going on...my .02

People are welcome to just lurk here if they wish...they won't be penalized for it. They just don't have the opportunity to jump in and be a part of this great community if they don't register. But ultimately it's their choice.

Right now approximately 80% of our viewers are not registered. I'd like to have a larger percentage of our readers participating, but it can't be forced.

Why does it bother you if they look at it without signing in? Sometimes I get on without logging in because for whatever reason my computer logged me off. If you have nothing to hide why let it bother you?
