Default Trout.

Wells Guys.

The "Deep Blue" was ready for a test run. My Son and I left for ICY and the 24 triton slid into the water about noon.

Off we went. The Bay is chocolate. Made the pass in 18 minutes @ a nice cruising speed 33- MPH @ 4200 RPM's

Out the pass we went. 1-2' ers. Went west. Got to one of my favors spots; Waters green with the SW winds.

Placed the 101 over the bow, start trolling along. 3rd cast; my son says I'm hooked up. I say Red? NO. 2# trout comes out of the water. Damn.

I'm still treading my Suffix Seige thru the NEW 7' Duece Rod. With those micro guides, I'll need to leave a pair of READING GLASSES in the Deep Blue.

Anywho. My first cast with the new Duece rod. Wham !!! Nice 2# Trout.

Oh did I say that since this is a shake down cruise we only have one rod each with a couple of 1/4 # jig heads.

One open jar of glow gulp shrimp.

We ended the day with 12 trout. Lost about 10 or so . The bite died after about several hrs. I had one hell of a day. After about 1 half hr. My son comes of on the big front deck. Gets on the left hand side of me and I cast. I have to much line out and the jig head strikes him inthe back of his head . Down he goes. Almost knocked him out.

NOW I've fished with him since he was 4 yrs. old. First time I hit him like that. I thought I had knocked him clean out. Oh yea. He's 29 yrs old now.

The micro guides DON'T let you reel the jig head up all the way if your using a leader. The knot won't go thru.

Anyway he's laying on the deck, and Hell I'm feeling bad, after some Ice to the KNOT on the back of his neck; He recovers.

Well Now I 've got to cut about half my line to get the lash out.

So after ALL that, the bite stopped..... SO off we go back to ICY.

Got some nice trout. MY Duece rod is awesome, and my Sons OK. All is Well.

Oh !!!! The 24 triton, "DEEP BLUE" Preformed AWESOME!!!!

I got to go to the DEEP BLUE This Tuesday for a 14 day hitch.

I'll post other reports when I get back.
