Default Anyone know an inexpensive taxidermy??

Still thinking about mounting both trout I caught the other day, they aren't huge but would be pretty decorations for my house. I don't really want to spend over $450. Most of the places I've looked at would be 300-320 per fish

Yea that's about average maybe even a lil on the low side, remember you get what you pay for. Maybe spread the word and a learning tax with a good start record may do it really cheap just for the practice. My friends uncle did that alot, now he's prolly the best around our area

My advice would be..........

If you're really planning on mounting those fish.....just keep 'em until you have the money to get 'em done right.

i know a guy in lafayette. he is doing a deer for me right now, has done 4 or 5 ducks for me, and a turkey. and he has done a redfish for one of my buddies, it came out awesome. he is very reasonably priced and very fast. one time he got me a duck back in less than 2 months. most ppl take forever! he is a really nice guy too.

12 dollars seems to be the average amount. Do you have any pics of it? I was thinking I'd put one of the bottom just swimming aggresively with fins down then the one on top attacking something above it. Looks pretty in my head.

x2 on Steve and Josh, good couple of guys there.....they have a duck and a fish of mine right now. Lots of experience with these guys, and you get a free t-shirt for bringing something in
