Default Power Pole Install :)

Well I decided to install my Power Pole today. The install went pretty smooth & it was really easy to do. If you are considering getting a Power Pole for your boat, anyone with half a brain & a floor jack can install one in just a few hours. I installed mine without any help & it got it completed in a little under 4 hours. The hardest part by far was mounting the pump. If you just have a few hundred bucks to throw away & don't feel like messing with doing it yourself, go ahead & bring it to a shop. I'm glad I did mine myself though. All I had to do was put my floor jack under the foot of my motor. I took the top 2 bolts out of the motor that were attached to the jack plate & I lossened up the bottom 2. I lined up the top holes with the adapter plate between the jack plate & the motor & put the bolts back in. Repeat for the bottom 2 bolts, tighten the bolts back up & then just followed the directions off of Power Poles website:

Power Pole Pro instructions

I mounted the rocker switch on my center console. I'll be out on the lake tomorrow to give it a try. Here are a few pics:

I got my 8' pro, 2 wireless remotes & an adapter plate for $1700 shipped to my house. I believe the bracket was $150.

You should spend you a few more dollars and make some better electrical connections before they corrode, get you some waterproof electrical connections. Otherwise looks good.
