Birds are definitely thin in that area. I hunt between wright and gueydan and it it ain't too good. Hoping the rain this weekend will help.

What's the majority crop over there this yr? 90% rice or they planted a lot o beans? We have a 15-20mi stretch of straight rice. That's y they ain't leavin. Ask duckgogetter he saw how much rice we got.

Just mornings. I went work my dog one evening they comin in at 730p I sat n watched from a distance. Craziest thing I ever seen man everyday is like opening day. Weekends is the hardest because everytime I try to work birds someone shoots you get ur chances but you gotta be on your toes Mach speed one pass and see ya. Weekdays we can pick what birds we shoot. It's that good.

Thats good to hear. I have hunted two afternoons and both times all the birds we see are sky high. It's not like in the mornings

They are eating out grain and seed field by field lik geese do. The consentrations are split 10k just south and the same just north and we are smack dab in the middle. Saw migrating droves headed south this am pre front I'm guessing. It'll be 49 in Springfield Missouri sat. That's the city I go by because last tr and yr before when it got cold there we started seeing new birds aka to me as high high mass flocks. Had 10 pintail cup into spread when we were walking out! For sure. Shoot able and they had descent color to them
