Default 2 days before the STAR starts ---------

Fished real early this morning and caught released three fish over 7lb.'s and one that was brought to Steve German. Definetly one of my top trout. All fish were caught & released before 8:00 am. Monster trout were stacked up on this reef, and slicks were the way to locate in this area. Caught most of fish from 2-5 ft. of water, one of these big-uns fell for a top water the others on grubs.

Bait, Bait, & Bait is the key!!!

Exspeck, What gives man. How the hell are you finding all these big sows. All day today while I was at work, all I could think about is where , and how to find the bigguns. This time of year I am for quality not quantity..lol

I notice there is no back ground marsh in the picture. This tells me you are facing away from the marsh to dis allow anyone from seeing where you possibly are catching these beauties. Perhaps it is in w. Cove.

It may also be at the rock in hollybeach. There certainly seems to be a lot of open water, and with a north east wind it could be that calm. What say you exspeck.

There were actually quite a few boats around us chasing birds early, there were several that came and drifted by us. They would drift threw for 30 minutes then go on threw. There were spans of an hour and 2 hours before catching several of these fish, you have to have confidence in your spot and your bait. As long as there is mullet around I will usuallly stay and put in some time in that area.

The fish are definetly on the beach I did not catch these there, it was in Big Lake-
