Cheers Incredible 4 days of Fishing 4-3-11

What a run we had the past few days Down in Dularge. 450 fish hit the cleaning table at the REEL INN FISHING LODGE. All good things must come to a end though!! The winds kicked up last night shutting the great trout bite we have been having. Plan B went straight into effect as we had already discussed with the customers that we would be red fishing today. Cody Lenert and Gil Wisby joined me on my boat, and Steve Lenert, Jeremy Hunt, and Chad Boyd went with Capt Rob Dupont. Cody started us off with a Big BURN HACK his first cast!! Nice red that gave him a run!! LOL We had put 7 reds in the boat in about an hour and things were looking real good. Winds kept picking up and our bite slowly diminished (buoy reading 33mph at one point). We made a few moves finding no fish at a couple stops and several at others. Ended up hooking into 11 reds (only 8 keepers) and 1 bass. Capt Robs crew ended up hooking into about 30 reds which 10 made the box. We called it a day around 10:45 to get back in so everyone could clean fish, shower, and pack up for their drive back up to Shreveport. Crazy how the wind can shut down a bite that fast. Anyhow our crews had the time of their lives catching fish and loved the TOP NOTCH accommodations the REEL INN provides. I want to thank you guys for the incredible steak and red fish on the half shell last night at the camp. Oh, the deer sausage and baked potatoes were off the charts too!!!! Big thanks to everyone and Capt Rob Dupont for showing your crew a Absolute great time!!!!!!!!! Already looking forward to our next trip!
