Man I got stung on my deer lease by about 30-40 of them bastards when I was about 12 years old. I was riding my 4wheeler behind the dozer as he was going through creek. He uncovered a nest and they all jumped on me. My dad had to bring me to the emergency room.

I used to be a 'groundskeeper' during the summer for this old rich man. Every single week I would find a yellow jacket nest when mowing or bush hogging. If you destroy the nest during the day, they will find another area and make another colony. The best thing to do is get after them at night when they are all in the hive - then pour the gas or diesel to em

I have been stung so many times that it makes me pretty ill when i get stung by one now. Hate em hate em

Got into them last year around this time, they were buried under some Pampas in my backyard... Over 60 stings and a trip to the ER, it was like someone thru a bucket of wasps on me... I have had my share of injuries but nothing like this, felt like someone had set me on fire...

No more Pampas in the yard...

My dad got into them last week in Morgan City while weedeating beneath some Azelias, he chunked the weedeater and they followed it...He only got stung a couple of times...

Nasty buggers...

I had my dad on a 1month probation from yard work....he pissed me off because his lazy azz girlfriends and her kids don't know how to pick up sticks and crap in the yard...so I piled all the sticks at the front door and told my dad....if you want me to keep mowing your grass for free...have them lazy freeloaderers pick up sticks....

It worked...no sticks this time

Hey "W" - they sell some wasp/hornet killer that foams up after you spray it in the hole . . . . but you have to do it at night . . . but your method seems to be a 24 hr cure . . .

Yeah, and his brother got popped for drugs over there a couple of years ago. Well, that's how the media played it, anyway. He had a roach in his ash tray.
