Default GoPro questions

I've got some pennies saved and am ready to go Hero. It's going to be around saltwater and I'm rough on things. I generally don't care for the GP video quality, but have seen some lately that look much better. I would imagine that would come with the latest and greatest.

If I'm gonna pull the trigger, I'm going all the way with it. What's the best? How much? Where's the most reasonable price?

TIA

Video quality is more of what quality it is recorded at and what site your uploading it to seems like the Vimeo videos look much better than YouTube ones on a phone.

We (team HOOKEDONYAK) have done most of our vids on GP2, however I recently got a hero3 silver (won it) and a hero3 black (purchased it) and I love them both. The black is the best they make at this time and is really a great cam!!!!!! Go look at all the specks on the web and decide what you need. Hero3 Black is awesome but costs $400.00 the Silver is 3$300.00
