Default Vermillion Bay Skeeter Test

Go get a cup of coffee at CommStop in Duson and ask Bob Lee about his new Skeeter. Bob went out to put his new Z20 to test the waves and wind Vermillion Bay had to muster yesterday. Boat handled great in spite of the low and variable RPMs for the break-in period. Fished the Trashpile, Weeks Bay, the Hammock and Dry Reef. Fished 3 & 4" Gulp Shrimp in new penny, natural and white. A couple of Cajun Grand Slams and there ain't nuttin wrong wit dat! Trick seemed to be a red 3/8 oz. jig head with a slow retrieve, like worm fishing. Lots of hang-ups. Water was dirty with the exception of Weeks Bay which was really clear and held tons of bait but only yielded one red. Big speck went around 4lbs. and bit so lite he said he didn't think he had a fish. Looks like the sizable trout still haven't made the big trip in. Good news was no sandies and only one hardhead all day and he didn't scratch!
