Default Cocodrie 6/11

We head out from coco Marina late, @ around 830 I think without live bait. First stop before bay long and I boat a flounder and a nice 17 inch trout. No more bites and apparently we Pilgrimed some bird watchers(or they did us) so we headed out. Sand flies were beast and so was the sun.trolled around some and totaled 5 specks and two flounder but chunked them and just ran the boat and shot the s****t with some shrimpers we knew ....didn't catch on topwater..all bites on double rigged cocohoes minnows and shrimp artificials wished we woulda had some live bait but at least we got a good feel for the boat..

Sorry no pics of fish..another time

Ya I think I gotta learn how to walk the dog...first catches on artificial. I kinda like alot. My pops ain't really into the whole recreational fishing thing. Commercial, that's another story. I'm gonna head to the islands next time and be better prepared. Another reason for another asap trip

Y'all need to launch from tradewinds.

Lots of fresh and live bait

Ya we had already launched then told no bait and to ride up the bayou to tradewinds.we headed up the bayou a good bit by boat but decided. To turn around and just try artificial. Now I know better. And learned from my mistakes...to the islands next time
