Default deck build for 14' aluminum boat

any ideas on material i could put between the middle bench and the small front step on a small 14' aluminum boat for a front deck?

something light, not wood.
maybe some plastic grate, but not sure where toget that or how expensive

That plastic [fiberglass] grating is expensive and so is Aluminum.

Cheap = wood.

If you wanted to make it yourself, check at Lowe's or Home Depot at the cost of aluminum angle iron, flat bar and 1/4" sheeting.

You probably could figure out a way to make something bolted together to fit your boat. Depending on how wide your boat is, you would probably need a couple of vertical braces to support your weight.
