Default Spot light

Looking at buying a new spot light for those early morning fishing trips. Im needing some info on which is best the led or the regular ole bulb spot light. I would like to try the led for the longer battery life. Any kind of info would be appreciated.

Went to Pep Boys in Lafayette last week and they had a 1,000,000 candle watt rechargable light for 13 bucks. The kicker is they had a 10 dollar mail in rebate!

Heck, if you use it once, its worth it! I got two...one for hunting nad the other for fishing boat.

One of my hunting buddies had one of these or something similar. He brought it on a trip to the Atchafalaya basin. It worked great for 5 or 10 minutes then it started getting weak real fast.

I use the Q-beam 12 volt and a old spot lite that use to be allowed to mount on top of pick-up trucks to light up the road. That old spot light with a 1000 watt bulb lights up the bayou just as good as the Q-beam.

I've been having a spot light that's been in the center consol of my bay boat for over 5years. It's 3 miilion and it has an ac adaptor that plugs into your vehicle or boat. Thing still works after all the beating it takes in that boat. Think it was $20 at academy.

I have an LED spotlight by Stanley. Walmart has them for around $45. It is just as bright as a Q-beam, but smaller so the beam isn't as wide. It will run for hours and hours. It only take about 45minutes to charge. It is small enough to fit in your jacket pocket. I have had mine for 2 seasons and have been real happy with it.

When I use it the space station in Houston calls me to shut that thing off. They say I'm blinding the astronauts in the space station!

Ive had one of the Coleman LEd's for 49.99 at Academy for about 3 years now with no fail. its rechargeable, or runs of the truck or boat. It claims to run for 2hr's continuious, and have not had it die on me yet. I recharge after every use though! I
like its convenience, but the original candle power Qbeams seem to be brighter at night. JMO
