red snapper throats are great to eat u fry them up and they the best part of the fish.....but i wouldnt eat a redfish throat they spend to much time in the mud for me..

i dunno maybe its just a taste you develope after a long time of eating them......and if i released all the female trout i ever caught id never have fish to eat in the freezer...

That is some fine eaten there I'm surprized you gumbo guys haven't tried em. I had a friend that only keeped the throat and gave away the rest. Give er a wirl you'll love em.

My sister=in-law Makes a rice dish with the throats that is to die for. They are a little hard to fillet the hide off but well worth the effert.
