If its a Minn Kota there is a lifetime warranty on the shaft

That's what I thought, but I called DHP on Lake Charles and they said no. I looked online and it says its a limited warranty. Sucks!

I paid $75 to have DHP replace a cracked shaft last year

They told me 35 for the shaft which is better than I was expecting.

$35 is better than $750 for a tailgate that was left up while pulling away from a gooseneck. head knock-head knock-head knock

Could be worse... I'm in North Carolina on vacation and saw a 30'+ offshore boat with twin outboards on the side of the road..... Off the trailer !! Ouch! Tried to snap a pic but I didn't want to hold up traffic. Someone forgot to put the safety chain on

I snapped a shaft on a riptide a few years ago. Prop shop replaced the shaft with the warranty and I only had to pay for the labor which was around 70.
Don't think Prop shop works on trolling motors anymore though. |
