The water 25 miles off of Cameron is not 50 ft.
They said they hit a 125 ft. deep hole. I call BS on that one too.

He said that the depth finder hit 125 for a brief time. Said he is really not sure if there was really a hole or if they didn't catch some grass from the rip on the transducer that gave them a fonky reading. Settle down pudnah, they really caught a sailfish 25 miles out of the cameron jetties.

Ok, how about this. HIS depth finder was reading 50 feet while 25 miles offshore. Does that make you feel better? Does it matter how deep it was?

You know your area.
I know my area.
I know there ain't no 50 ft. water 25 miles out of Cameron.
I don't care if anyone likes it or not.
I fished out of Cameron before you were born.

Never doubted the fish. I doubted the depth.

LOL fine with me. I wasn't there. I didn't look at the depth finder. Truth is we/him don't usually even slow down that close in. He blew a hydrallic hose on the stearing and had to turn back. We usually start fishing at 60 miles unless for some reason the water turns blue before then. Have hit blue water before at just 50 miles. I am sure you will be glad to tell us how deep it is at 50 miles. Again, I am not sure why you are so excited about how deep or shallow it is.

I am not excited. Sounds suspicious.
Ever heard of a fish tale? This sounds like one.
Not everything adds up. I keep waiting for the punch line.
I have caught a big Wahoo at WC-269, which is unusual, that is why I don't doubt the fish.
But the story sound like a fish tale.
I don't care where he caught it, he is lucky to catch one in shallow water.

And I was talking to that Hopedale turd in my last post.

No problem brother. I didn't believe him either until I saw the video and the pics. Oh, and the rest of the catch. One snapper. 10 tripple tail and a sailfish. I would imagine if he made it to where we usually fish he'd of gotten his snapper, some ling, some king and some mahi. But not triple tail.

Them Tripple Tail are just as good as Snapper. In my opinion.
I'd be glad to come home with 10 of them.

Been a lurker on this site for awhile, this is my first post! Ray, what is wrong with the story? Sailfish are caught out of kayaks and aluminum boats in the keys in 50 feet of water, you can watch them from the bank

Feesheeman is that John VanNorman who caught it?
Herd they caught one close in--
If the water is clear enough, which it has been close in, a juvenile sail is not surprising.

That is a roger, John caught it with Cody's rod on Cody's boat that I stayed up until 10:30 Friday evening putting a new bilge pump in even though I wasn't goin fishing the next day. I had a big 3D shoot to go to.

Yes I agree, but when I go fishing offshore I am not interested in little fish. I'd rather chase big king, ling, AJ, and stuff like dat.
