Last year two new boats at around 90K total, probably 15 or so new reels and rods at around 3k. In the summer time I make around 15 trips a month all the way to November then I have been duck hunting this year at $600 a pop with tip and probably around 15 trips. Three new shotguns for duck hunting plus 350 decoys for what I plan to lease next year total of around 6K.

Last year I bought a new camp and an F250, I don't even want to think about the cost of both.

This year I have ordered a mud boat and I plan to lease some property for duck hunting.

If you back out the camp, boats and truck and just focus on the bait, gas, (no ice, I have a machine at my camp), lease, shotgun shells, decoys, I bet it is 40K to 60K, way to much.... and still not enough....

Plus I bought the Salty Cajun for _______X.

I need another job to pay for all of this stuff.

I was out of control with the bait buying , my storage room looked like a wall at academy, 10 bags of this bait, 10 bags of this one ect... I'm done with that madness, this past summer I decided all I'm gonna use is curly tail grubs, spooks, and some catch2000 or corkys . Since I made that decision I prolly saved an easy 2-3000$ . My main expense is freakin gas just to trailer the boat a minimum of 1 hr 45min each way pulling a 24' boat blasting the ac. And now since I bought the bigger boat we have been snapper fishing so of course on those long runs I can ease off the throttle I "must" run wide open lol and get a whole 2mile/ gallon!

Well said, I use to always run wide open, that Verado was killing me. This fall I kept the RPM's at 4000 to 4300 and my speed stayed at 40 to 44 which was plenty. I saw a really big increase in fuel economy but it took me some time to get use to it. I even let a couple of boats pass me in the ship channel, it killed me but I was able to handle it.

You have an 1.45 minute drive but living in Baton Rouge you have a ton of options.
