Sorry, everyone. The iPad died before I could let you guys know whats going on. The final rankings were put on one sheet of paper only, and weren't given to me. I had no way of getting those to you, but I'll try to contact some people or get someone to post the finals in this thread.

What I was told. Even a 3lb trout in top twenty is weak. I can remember catchin a 5 pound trout and placing last. And even some year not even placing. Between that many anglers there should be lots of 5 pound trout brought in. I understand it was windy but still...

I believe the smallest trout in the top 20 of the adult divsion was over 4lbs and the smallest in the youth divsion was over 2. This is based upon the final standings which like hunter said we do not have right now. This includes the live fish bonus where applicable.

Hell, when Chicken gets his dirt...why not just order enough to fill in Big Lake. Name another place on the Louisiana coast where you can consistently catch trout this size.

You're missing the point. When it goes from consistently catching 6's to consistently catching 3's. We went wrong somewhere.

I'm well aware of your point, but, wasn't it pretty much agreed upon in that other thread that the laws ain't gonna be changed?

Where else in Louisiana waters can you catch "3's" at the rate you can in Lake Calcasieu?

Top Dawg

This thread that you are posting in is for the CCA Trout Shootout results and to give congratulations to the winners.

If you want to continue to debate the 15 vs 25 trout limit, take it to this thread.

Turned out to be a beautiful day and good turnout. Had around 300 adults sign up and lots of kids fishing with them. Enjoyed meeting ckinchen there and several other saltycajuns. Raymond did a stand up job and his son Hunter was a huge help- great to see a young man that committed and helpful- thanks again Hunter!!! Fishing was slow for most but saw several come in with numbers and saw one local guide with a nice mess and released a 7.5# trout on 3rd cast and caught another over 8.5# that was measured, weighed and released. He had pics to prove it- beautiful fish. So I guess there really are some nice trout still out there. Saw some nice flounder weighed also for the STAR- one was almost 6#. Thanks again guys for a good time
