Default GoPro

I recently purchased a hero, and only recorded a little bit of the trip out there and I'm fairly impressed however was wondering if anyone has used both hero and hero2 and if its worth it to get the newer one..

also, how do you use it effectively underwater? I'm thinking of casting it out in the middle trout and watch them hit other baits or shrimp whatever.. just really would rather not lose it

i went from the 960 to the hero2 and its night and day. never used the regular hero so cant compare. as far as throwing it out on a line id at least put it on 80 pound braid with maybe tipped with 12 pound mono to hook a bait to.

we use it for diving/spearfishing and the quality underwater is amazing. Casting out for trout you should be ok, just put some stout braid on there
