Default First trip on Prien after tips

Well I made a trip this morning after all the helpful tips.....and it was
A GREAT day.

Picked up 9 specks, 4 reds, a black drum, and a gafftop that my daughter caught under a cork and HAD to keep.

Started early against the grass and picked a couple stray specks and reds, then moved to the channel and finished it off.....found a good point. The lady fish are bad, but I kept letting my bait sink under them and picked a few specks and a red up that way. Nothing huge.....but for an amateur I feel like I was in the zone.

My daughter had a great time ripping lady fish with a treble hook tipped with a char shrimp. My bites started on char gulp, but in the end pearl white gulp minnow was the ticket.

Thanks for all the tips guys!!!

Congrats. The drum like that are much like redfish.

Once you go black, you never throw back.

Oh yeah.....the black drum and gafftop both got filleted. I'd heard they were worth keeping.

That's way better than my first educated trip to Prien Lake.

Great job of putting it all together.
