Default Johnson bayou

I will be hunting in Johnson Bayou this weekend and wanted to do some fishing while I was there. I will not have my boat. Does anyone have any suggestions?

there are areas to fish off the road on hwy 27 heading north of hwy 82...you can park and bank fish. Beach is pretty much over with.

West Cove Rec area would be the best bet for fishing from the bank, if it is calm (doubt it) might try the beach.
Hey do you know "Troy" from Swamp People? or Hubert Aucoin?

Hubert is a really good dude, went to a party on his house boat 10 years ago. House boats are the measure of wealth in Pierre Part.

We will be just off of 82 about 4 miles from 27
I heard there are quite a few ducks down.
We will be staying in the campground in Holly Beach if anyone wants to come grab a drink. Sure there will be something on the stove also just not sure what yet.

Went down last Friday to drop the boat and go devil off. Had just enough water to run it so we took off to the blind. Made it about half way and lost the prop. Felt around for a while with no luck. Paddled back about 1/2 mile just before dark to beat the mosquitos. While locking boat up realized we had lost the whole shaft with the prop. Set screw at top of shaft had backed out and was lost. Found key stock laying in back of boat but no set screw. Gonna try to make it back on Friday to find shaft/prop and put back on motor. BTW- Saw only a couple of birds. This was late afternoon til dark.
