Nice catch and some cool pics.
A kayak might be the only thing I will be able to afford to put gas in if gas prices keep heading north. |

By-Catch what baits were you using? My son and I are planning to go camping this weekend. We are hoping to catch a few.

Watermelon lizards and brush hogs. The week before they were catching shallow near the banks on flukes and senkos fished weightless.

I have only been in a kayak a few times...... I bet that "seat" in the last picture is what I need to make it more comfortable for my back.
Was the seat added to the kayak or did it come with it? |

I added it to the kayak after. Makes a huge difference in comfort, I can stay in the yak much longer with it. It's mounted on one of those slide out brackets that the swivel mount goes in so it can be removed when transporting.

Very nice catch for Chicot.
I live 10 minutes from that lake and refuse to fish it, I absolutely hate it. It does hold some big uns though. I'd be a little nervous is a yak with all those monster gators in there. |

Chicot is definately not a lake to catch big numbers in but some quality fish in a beautiful setting. Not worried about the gators, I fished Lacassine yesterday and had many gators within casting distance the whole time.
