Default fish in henderson

The last few weeks the fish been hitting pretty good in henderson.Until the river came up still catching a few but not as many. The big white bass on the left went just over 6 with a bunch of fours to go along(the little pic)and the large mouth on the left went just over four..I have better pictures but cant figure out how to get them off my phone.

ive spent a lot of time in that area its a good area to get away from the crowd. When the river drops try and find the water rushing out of the woods.Until the river drops though i think the fishing will be lacluster at best.although soon the water will be up in the cypress trees around the boulevard and the big bull bream will be thick.

Nice catch. You can still catch em in high water. I catch them by pitching 4" black neon tube jigs WAY back into the trees. The amaco canal is usually pretty good with high water.

Im not worried about it....it takes some practice to get the bait where they are holding. Your average weekend warrior does not have the patience. Besides I rather fish the beniot and fausse point area, not as many yo yos running around.

A 6 pound white bass, that must have been a hell of a fight! If I recall correctly that's a state record man! I would love to get into a mess of those, but can't ever seem to find them unless there's a good swift current moving.

State record white bass is ~4lb. Maybe those were hybrid whites? Record hybrid white is 16.25lb out of.....Pontchartrain?!
