That's the ones that ole Willy from Swamp People was catching by hand, he put an old sock on his arm for protection.

The scientific name for that snake is "snakus deadus." In plain english, it means "a good snake!"

Yep, that dude is nuts. The watersnakes will flare out their head to a diamond shape and will bite the fool out of you to mimic a moccasin. Those diamondbacks can get very large too

My first thought was diamondback water snake. Definitely go with that. Never had any real scary encounters with one. Now broadbanded water snakes, those are mean SOBs. Had one fight me like a mocassin one day. He met the freezer though. lmao.

I like the John Wayne, politically incorrect way of distinguishing a tame Indian from a wild Indian. It's like when you see a King snake versus a Rattle snake - you just know. Your water snake doesn't look mean enough. I don't bother snakes in the wild but when they are in my yard, I relocate them or kill them. My wife might freak out and hurt herself trying to run away from a garter snake.
HaHa!

Thats a Rattle snake! There are really only two kinds of snakes. Rattle snakes and Chicken snakes. If he doesn't have a chicken in his mouth that makes him a rattle snake and needs to DIE!!!!!
