Default Lake Greeson AR. 7/20-7/28

Loaded up the fam. wife pulling the boat and me pulling the camper and headed north to Arkansas for some relaxation and a lil fishing. We have a family reunion up there every year around this time. I was only able to fish about 3 hrs each morning, but thats pretty much the only time worth going out. We managed to find a big flat next to the main river channel where the bass and white bass were schooling on shad. As soon as the sun would come up it was ON for about an hour and a half. The shad they were feeding on were very small and the fish wouldnt hit just anything. The only lure they consistently bit was a lucky craft sammy worked really fast. Plus you had to throw right on top of the break. We averaged about 20- 25 fish each morning mostly largemouth with the occasional white bass. The bass avereged about 1.5 lbs biggest we caught weighed 3 lbs. This lake is not known for big bass. It was a blast. I just love topwater.
