BigGrin 11/29_Nice Variety

Pintail, Red Heads, Mallards, Wigeon, Teal, Spoonies and a bonus Speck that (we thought) died right at shooting time.
After laying in the blind for 20 minutes without moving the speck jumped up and scared the **** out of us.

Gueydan area. Shot a pair of mallards at 9:30 to finish up.

Ha I had a buddy and his 9 yr old with me last week. The kid lays out out a pretty green wing drake. Dog brings it back. It looked dead as a door nail. Not moving at all. My buddy Steve was gonna get it mounted. About 15 minutes later the thing takes off out the blind. Without missing a beat lil max pops em again about 10ft in front the blind. All I seen was a puff of feathers. Needless to say that bird wasn't mountable anymore.

My buddy who went get the goose grabbed him by the neck and threw him over his shoulder to carry him back to blind. He wasnt flapping or anything. I guess he was knocked out when he hit the water. When he jumped to his feet and looked at us I don't know who was more surprised, the goose or us.

My buddy grabbed him and rung his neck before the goose tried to make an escape.
