Default 12v from 24v?

Im about to purchase a second battery to run 24v. I knowto series them for.24v. Im just curiois if.there is a way to run my 12v lights from this somehow without a 24/12v converter. Anyone ever done this?

only downside to this is you will be running down your cranking battery with your tm and electronics. If you just hook the lights and stuff to one battery you should be running 12v you can use a voltmeter to check it. Just make sure you cranking battery is dual purpose

I dont have a cranking battery. Just two duual purpose for the trolling motor. Im just running some led nav lights for a few minutes each morning so not worried about draining one battery.

i was confused at the same situation, but it was explained to me and turns out it is pretty simple, you have the two batteries that are both 12volt, you cross them to make 24volt, but you only have 24volt when you cross them, if you hook up to one battery just like you would to hook up your lights you are still running 12volt, you can hook up to both batteries separately, you still have 12 volts even if you are still hooked up with 24volt

Thanks. I was kind of thinking that but wasnt sure. I thought the jumper wire might interfere with that

not at all, a 24volt system is still two 12volt cells, hook your wires to one battery at a time and it is 12volts
