Default Great day !

Fish random spots along the ship channel today with my step son and a buddy today. Only fished for a few hours due to being on call. Wanted to get my step son on a trout so he could weigh in for the star tourny, he managed a good 2.5 pound trout.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340592926.239417.jpg
As we enjoying our time fishing my buddy tied on a 1 oz jig head with a 8" curl tail grub, just joking around having a good time he sets hook on something that pulled drag for a few seconds a came off ! Hummm redfish, who knows ! A few cast later wham somthing nailed that big bait, believe it or not a 5 lb trout came out of 25 ft of water with that in its mouth ! I could believe it ! He fished that bait the rest of the time we had and caught several more trout on it ! Well all I can say is that I learned somthing today !

Your story just reinforces the that fishing along the ship channel is the place to go during the hot summer day.

Today in got up to 99 F at the airport in Lake Charles.
