Default verm bay trout

looks like our playground might be finally heating up a bit,now that all ther fresh water is finally gone. Took a little trip this morning and caught 27 nice specks and 34 white trout. It was really fun to watch my 10 year old son get into some good action.

I have only fished the bay 2-3 times with not much success. However last year off the diamond reef I did catch/release a 23 drum...man that was one ugly you know what. Bad when this is you only real thing to talk about!

the water wasnt all that great today out there, but we were still able to catch pretty good. I think all of those recent thunderstorms has everything stirred up. The cove was really pretty though. Didnt even fish it though. We left in the dark so we couldnt tell what it looked like till we came in.

I used plastics and top dogs, and my son mostly used dead shrimp. The top dog fish were awesome. Of course you miss more with those, but the rush is great.
