A friend of mine and a family member were making a lacassine duck hunt this morning. They hit a big limb running down the bayou and it injured our friend pretty bad. Had to be airlifted from the boat launch to the hospital here in Lafayette. I am going to head up there this evening.

He is alive but in ICU

I think it ripped the trolling motor off the front deck then knocked him onto the back deck...

Prayers sent... if you need anything, let me know... gotta be careful running on the water at night... its tricky.. you might have ran it 2,000 times before or this could of been your first time, always need some sort of light... i've been in this predicament a time or 2 before... running to the camp at 11:00Pm.... the good lord was watching after me... for sure !!!! I hit a decent sized log opening morning. Thank goodness, i wasn't going wide open.
The Good Lord was on my side Saturday morning. After i hit the log, what is normally a 10 minute run took 30 minutes dodging debris. Rather stay safe than rush to the blind.
