Default Best color for mirrolure catch 2000 to use in Big Lake?

What is the best color of the mirrolure catch 2000 to use in Big Lake? Do you use a loop knot or split ring in front of the lure to give it more action?

For a while I had all the colors they made but they can make new colors faster than I can buy them. I like mullet color- green back, silver side. I once caught two 29" trout on back to back casts on the clown - Black back, gold side, orange belly. I have mostly switched over to the Mirrodine XL. I love suspending baits. Sometimes you have to add a little weight, 2000's like to float if its real salty. I use a twist of solder wire on the middle hook eye. I used to use a loop knot but I have changed to a Berkley quick clip. Loops and clips give better action than a palomar. Check it out in a swimming pool.
